Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Toblach/Niederdorf
Individual arrival in Toblach/Niederdort in Alta Pusteria (optional transfer from Caorle on Sundays, see Extras). The village attracts visitors with its small churches steeped in history and is mostly German-speaking. Overnight stay in a cozy South Tyrolean hotel.
Day 2: Toblach/Niederdorf - Cortina d'Ampezzo (60 km)
Breakfast and then set off on the first stage of the day. Through the Braies Valley you reach the breathtaking Lake Braies. Continue to the Prato Piazza high plateau, from where you have a great view of the Dürrenstein and the Hohe Gaisl. One highlight is a viewpoint of the famous Three Peaks. You then reach the Höhlenstein Valley via the old military road. On the old route of the Dolomite Railway, you can enjoy the Gemärk Pass and wonderful views of the Southern Alps. At the end of the day, you will reach the Olympic town of Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Day 3: Cortina d'Ampezzo - Belluno (75 km)
After breakfast, follow the Dolomite cycle path along the former railroad line. Don’t forget to look left and right, as you will see the Sorapiss climbing mountain and the “Five Towers” rock formation. From Zoppe di Cadore, the highest municipality in the province of Belluno, the route continues to Longarone. In 1963, this village was completely destroyed by a tidal wave caused by a rockslide into the reservoir and was rebuilt in a very short time. Finally, you reach Belluno with its historic squares in the old town, where many good restaurants invite you to linger.

Day 4: Belluno - Pieve di Soligo area (60 km)
For today, we recommend to have a hearty breakfast, because right at the beginning of the day’s stage, you follow the route of the cycling race Giro d’Italia cycling up to Nevegal mountain. On the Nevegal, you are rewarded with a beautiful view over the valley of Belluno. You continue on the ridge. You can slowly and appropriately say goodbye to the Dolomite Alps, riding in the direction of blue Mediterranean Sea. You pass many alpine cabins inviting you to rest and enjoy. Today, your stage finish is the historical Feltre on the foothills of the Dolomites.

Day 5: Pieve di Soligo area - Caorle (100 km)
On to the last stage, which is long but very relaxed. The day is characterized by the picturesque Piave, through whose romantic river landscape you cycle. You will pass through the Montello region, with its gentle hills, beautiful chestnut forests and vineyards. You can make a shopping stop in Noventa di Piave, which is popular for its fashion and sports outlets. And finally you reach the Mediterranean! Eraclea Mare, with its sandy beaches and the dunes and pine forests directly behind the sandy strip, shows you all the wonderful things the Adriatic coast has to offer. Your stopover in Caorle is also the final destination of your trip. Immerse yourself in the quiet but exciting life by the sea and enjoy this picturesque vacation resort.

Day 6: Caorle
Today is at your leisure. We recommend relaxing in Caorle. Caorle is a very popular vacation resort on the Italian Adriatic coast. The small town has almost 20 km of golden sandy beach – and every year Caorle receives an award for particularly good water quality. You can reach a small pier with a church via the promenade along the main beach. The old town attracts visitors with its winding alleyways and colorful houses, whose bright colors were intended to help fishermen find the right entrance to their houses even at dawn and in foggy weather. The medieval cathedral is located in the historic town center, complete with a leaning bell tower, which is typical of the region. Numerous restaurants and ice cream parlors invite you to linger.
Day 7: Caorle or Venice
Today is also a free day for you. We recommend taking the ferry or bus to Venice (see General information>Other information), as the famous water city is only 50 km from Caorle.
Day 8: Departure Caorle
After breakfast, you can leave independently (see Extras for transfer options), or you can extend your stay in Caorle to spend another week on the beach, hike in the Laguna di Caorle nature reserve, take excursions to Venice or Jesolo, for example, or visit one of the two amusement parks (one water park, one theme park).
